PRACTICAL GUIDE

An interactive cultural exhibition connecting local stories and real visitor routes

Visitors want to understand a place before deciding how to explore it. When stories belong to the right locations, the online journey becomes useful preparation for a real visit.

THE REAL QUESTION

Before choosing a room, decide what the visitor should understand or feel.

Separate landmark descriptions rarely explain why the places belong in one visit. A central character or theme can connect locations, sources and interactions into a journey rather than a set of attractive pictures.

A small, deliberate set of material

  • Landmark names, real locations and accessible routes
  • Licensed current photographs and historical sources
  • Official sources and verification dates for opening and transport information
  • The central character or theme and intended visitors
  1. Choose a continuous story and introduce it clearly at the entrance
  2. Organize chapters by real locations and align the spatial route with the map
  3. Add conversations, changing images or hands-on installations at key moments
  4. Test mobile performance and loading, then verify current route information

View the case
Is this a photorealistic VR tour?

No. A Smile in the Mountain is an authored exhibition around real places, not a high-fidelity site scan. Its artistic space tells a story while keeping a connection to the real route.

Does it become a lesson or quiz?

It does not need to. Conversation, observation and simple actions can support understanding without scores or frequent pop-ups.

Is it a government tourism project?

It is an independent studio demonstration, not a claim of government procurement or an official publication by a destination.

Can another destination use this approach?

We can discuss it, but local sources, image rights, geography and visitor needs must be reconsidered rather than simply replacing names and pictures.

What needs custom work

Art-directed landscapes, character dialogue and installations are custom work. Travel information needs a verification date; the exhibition does not replace destination notices or offer unverified live navigation.

Discuss the exhibition you need

Bring your material and intended audience. We will agree on the scope before production.
